40-In-40 is a social media campaign celebrating Dominica’s 40th independence  with 40 days of visual stories about the island’s illustrious past and impressive initiatives. Join us each week as we share interesting images and blurbs about Dominica in our bid to make her trend online.  Share our images or post your own using the campaign’s hashtag #40IN40DOMINICA.

The Stories

There are too many positive stories about Dominica and not enough storytellers. Let’s share these with the world and show them why we love this island. Join us as we post stories about Dominica’s places, trade, people, history, cuisine and Citizenship by Investment Programme — all in that order.  Post your own stories with the hashtag and together we will celebrate Dominica together.

The Competition

To solicit buy-in from Dominicans and generate more positive stories being shared via social media, Anichi Development will stage two competitions. The winners or each competition will receive two season passes to the World Creole Music Festival, Oct 26 – 28.

A Moment in Time

Oct 15 - Oct 21

This competition runs during the history-themed week on Facebook. Participants are asked to share historic pictures of Dominica – either places or people. To qualify, participants must:

  • Follow Anichi Development’s page
  • Post a picture with the hashtags #40in40Dominica and #Dominicamoments
  • Tag @Anichidevelopment and at least five friends in the photo
  • @Anichidevelopment will share the image on its Page
  • Encourage friends to like the image on @Anichidevelopment’s page.

To qualify to win A Moment in Time, participants must post positive content generated in Dominica. Posts must not be: indecent, obscene, or contain excessive nudity.

Sunday Funday

Sept 29 - Oct 21

This competition runs every Sunday throughout the 40-In-40 campaign on Instagram. Participants are asked to share pictures of the many fun things to be done in Dominica on a Sunday. To qualify, participants must:

  • Follow @Anichidevelopment on Instagram
  • Post images using the hashtags #Sundayfunday and #40in40Dominica
  • Tag @Anichidevelopment along with five friends in the post
  • Encourage friends to like the image on Instagram

To qualify to win #SundayFunday, participants must post positive content generated in Dominica. Posts must not be: indecent, obscene, or contain excessive nudity.
